Cerberus: the wearable watchdog
A nationwide initiative harnessing wearable technology to redefine public health research through data-driven insights on sustainable well-being and community health.
The 3 'heads' of Cerberus
01
Synthesis
Concentrates on compiling and evaluating existing research on wearables to provide a consolidated view of their capabilities in health monitoring and enhancement. We aim to keep research current in the rapidly evolving field of wearable technology.
02
Validation
This part focuses on evaluating the accuracy and reliability of data from wearable devices. Through rigorous testing, we validate the health metrics these devices measure, making the data trustworthy for both individual and public health applications.
03
Data donation platform and databank
Our platform for the donation of wearable data, enabling the collection and analysis of large-scale data sets. This initiative addresses the challenge of data fragmentation across different devices and encourages public engagement in health research, while prioritising data privacy and ethical practices.
